MoFo Day 6: Organic Nectars
I’m headed out of town for the weekend, so Raw Food Thursday is going to be Raw Food Chocolate Review Thursday. I’ll be back in the kitchen next Tuesday.
I recently purchased a sampler of Organic Nectar’s Chocolate through some sort of online deal. They’re made with raw cacao, coconut palm sugar, and fresh fruits and nuts.
The nut milk chocolate is made with raw cashews, and has a creamy and sweet flavor.
All of the chocolates have a very clean pure chocolate flavor, but my favorites are the darkest 85% cacao and the raspberry flavors. I’ve always been a fan of dark chocolate for eating plain. I really enjoy the bitter undertones with just a hint of sweetness. The raspberry flavor is sweet and tangy. You can really taste the raspberry, but there isn’t a single seed.
The other flavors are good, too. I think I’ll save them to make some raw chocolate chip cookies, or to mix in to banana soft serve.
Since I’ll be on the road tomorrow, Flax Friday will have to wait until next week, but I’ll be blogging about some of our meals this weekend!
